trn calles Pnews to post articles. Pnews produces the message, and calls inews 
to actually post it. With leafnode, inews fails; it complains about trying to 
post to a non-existent newsgroup.

Trying the same commands on news.demon.co.uk, they all work except:

list distrib.pats
501 command syntax error

I tried patching leafnode so it produced a 501 rather than a 503, to match 
demon's response, but that didn't help. I have also tried to find the source 
for inews to try and work out exactly what it's doing, but no luck.

Everything else works perfectly. It's just this bit. And, as I said before, 
posting from Netscape works.
