The new configure.in gets through configuration and building fine with
the following versions:

ii rpm 3.0-4 Red Hat Package Manager
ii autoconf 2.13-3 automatic configure script builder

Building an RPM fails with the error below, but then again I'm using a
Debian system.

$ make rpm
  <snip>
chmod 755 leafnode-1.10b2/*.pl
chmod 755 leafnode-1.10b2/doc_german
tar cf leafnode-1.10b2.tar leafnode-1.10b2
/bin/gzip -f9 leafnode-1.10b2.tar
rm -rf leafnode-1.10b2
Usage: ./makerpm.sh [path to rpm] [specfile] [listfile] [builddir]
  [leafnode version] [usrdir] [bindir] [mandir] [lockfile]
  [spooldir] [confdir]
Possible reason for failure: rpm not found?
This script should preferentially be called from the Makefile only.
make: *** [rpm] Error 1
