I ran fetchnews -vvv -f and I couldn't find any errror messages in the
/var/log/messages also no errors in /var/log/news.

now I will try to run fetchnews -vvvv and I will have a look at the
output.

Output after starting fetchnews -vvvv -f
comp.mail.imap: considering articles 81697-81942
switched upstream servers? 14293 > 6268
skipping comp.os.linux.announce from now on
Disconnected from rznews.rrze.uni-erlangen.de.

the group comp.mail.imap seems to be untouched but I red news in this
group yesterday and my article is still in /var/spool/news/out.going

In this run no articles from comp.mail.imap were fetched. As I strart
fetchmail -vvvv -f again and looking in comp.mail.imap before these
groupe were also fetched.
BTW this was the 4th run of fetchmail this evening why didn't fetchmail
get the group comp.mail.imap not with the first run?

Also I believe fetchmail or leafnode don't care about my article in
/var/spool/news/out.going, because it is still there.
