RE: [leafnode-list] Problem with small and big Capitals of newsgroups

Did you run the make update command? That had to be run for one of those
versions because it reformatted the groupinfo file. Try that and see how it
works out.

Subject: [leafnode-list] Problem with small and big Capitals of
newsgroups

Hello,

after upgrading to leafnode 1.9.4 I can't get any article from the local
newsgroups of our university which have capitalized letters. They are
all spelled Marburg... . With leafnode 1.9.2 all went fine (sorry, but I
didn't read those newsgroups with the beta versions of 1.9.3) but now
with 1.9.4 leafnode fetches the groups and saves them as marburg... in
the groupinfo file. And fetchnews asks then the upstream server
news.uni-marburg.de for the groups marburg... and gets the answer:

here is the answer from a telnet session with leafnode:
pc16163:[news] #telnet localhost nntp
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
200 Leafnode NNTP Daemon, version 1.9.4 running at
pc16163.pharmazie.uni-marburg.de
group Marburg.linux
211 1 1 1 marburg.linux group selected
quit
205 Always happy to serve!
Connection closed by foreign host.

Is this a bug in 1.9.4? Is there any possibillity to manipulate the way
leafnode treats newsgroup names with capitalized letters? I thought that
especially this version (1.9.3/1.9.4) was improved to handle newsgroups
with special and capitalized characters? In the announcment of version
1.9.3b6 it was mentioned that from now on leafnode should cope with such
newsgroups.
I have completly removed the /var/spool/news tree and created it again
with the make install command from the leafnode 1.9.4 source and started
again from scratch but this didn't improved leafnodes behaviour.
