I would recommend you to use a background color different then white.
Something like light-yellow or light-green. It would look nice, when you
make all links (in X) bold. The navigation-bar
could be colorized too.

Also, I would recommend you that you use cascading style sheets rather
then the <font>-tag. If you have any questions on CSS or webdesign in
general, you can contact me via private mail (in german, if you like). I
have a lot experience in webdesign and I could help you with the
re-design of the leafnode pages.

BTW: The htdig-logo on maillists.html is broken.
