RE: [leafnode-list] inetd.conf vs xinetd.d
Joerg,
The hosts.deny ALL:ALL causes us to be unable to telnet to the box as well
as causing a TCP/IP connection drop when the newsreader tries to attach.
>From leafnode-2.0b8 README 2.10:
/etc/hosts.deny:
leafnode: ALL
and into /etc/hosts.allow:
leafnode: 127.0.0.1
What we came up with:
/etc/hosts.deny:
leafnode: ALL EXCEPT LOCAL
and into /etc/hosts.allow:
leafnode: 127.0.0.1
leafnode: LOCAL, .vcsd.com
We were trying to loosen it up to get local newsgroups working. What
context is your ALL:ALL in?
Dennis.

With hosts.deny
ALL:ALL
hosts.allow
ALL:LOCAL
