Ok, NEWNEWS doesn't work.

But this is unusual. It seems that nntpcache handles the 502 reply
as a multiline reply. The nntp-drafts are somewhat ambigous here,
but it's probably not ok. Now leafnode is out of sync, as it
treats the period as a reply to the GROUP command.

For a quick fix set newnews_ok to FALSE in line 1291 of
fetchnews.c and recompile.
