<snip log showing Leafnode finding no new articles in the group>

Coincidentally, I just closed a bug report showing the same symptoms
against an earlier version than this of the Debian Leafnode package
yesterday. The user reported that the latest Debian package avaliable
in unstable (and probably testing) didn't show the bug. However, the
fact that the bug appeared suddenly makes me suspect it may be time
dependant.

The bug report is at http://bugs.debian.org/51610.

To the original poster: could you please file bug reports against Debian
packages using the Debian bug tracking system rather than directly to
the original authors of the software. The instructions for doing so can
be found at:

   http://www.debian.org/Bugs/Reporting

Sometimes there are quirks with Debian that we are more likely to know
about or our version of the software is somewhat different to that being
worked upon by the original authors (typically, this is simply because
it's older).
