I trapped a couple of these with the most recent released version as
well, but I could not yet figure what's going on - except bogus logging.

The logging issue (group name instead of directory name) is somewhat
difficult to fix because leafnode chdir()s all over the place and getcwd
requires some attention that would justify a wrapper.
