[leafnode-list] v2.0b8_ma6, texpire inconsistent behaviour, deleting too much

texpire did not wait "expire" days to delete my articles!
In addition, the second of two successive run's of texpire 
will still delete many articles from the database !

And in gnus most threads don't have their thread start 
(initial article) any longer ! Pressing '^' on an article says 
"Couldn't fetch article <the.message@id>". 


Is texpire completely broken ?
