The readme says:
     * In just any error situation, leafnode tries to fix its problems by
       deleting the offending article. This can cause leafnode to lose
       news.

I've noticed that if you do a killall on a fetchnews -P, all the items in
the newsq get deleted - I had a endlessly redialling (non)-connection and I
wanted to get rid of it rather than letting it eventually time-out
It felt a bit unfriendly

(this is version 2.0b8)
