231 is an NNTP "ok, group list follows" code, there is no group count on
that reply line. See RFC-977 and RFC-2980 for details.

Hum, does not look too bad, 76.9 days since the last list
active. leafnode decides its active is current enough and it just needs
to look for new groups. OK.

Further internal work, resolving the name and connecting took place, and
took 15 s. OK.

Ok, it requests the list, and 6 seconds later, ...

.. it has the list. OK. No problem here.

Further down the log, you may find hints what really takes so long.

The end of the news log is interesting, as are any log lines that have
time stamps farther apart than just a minute.
