I started tcpdump, let it run, and came back three hours later and it had
heard exactly nothing. Netstat shows that the connection to ttnet.net.tr is
still established. /var/log/messages, however, shows that the last server it
connected to is mhogaming. My server list is:
server = cserver.vadim.com.pl
server = news.mhogaming.com
server = montacute.rjt.co.uk
server = news.ttnet.net.tr
server = diablo-reader.core.theplanet.net
server = newscache0.freenet.de
server = serv2.vsi.ru
Can you suggest a place where I can put a debugging statement?
The backtrace is identical to the one I posted previously. Examining
"upstream" shows the following:
0x8061b90: 0x00000000 0x00000001 0x0000001e 0x08061bc8
0x8061ba0: 0x08061bb0 0x00000000 0x00000000 0x00000019
0x8061bb0: 0x7377656e 0x6e74742e 0x6e2e7465 0x742e7465
0x8061bc0: 0x00000072 0x00000021 0x00000000 0x00000001
The third line says "news.ttnet.net.tr".
I'm going to kill fetchnews. I'll probably hang again in a few days.
