I've read that a couple of times now and I still don't think it's
true. Then age of an article when fetching it from the upstream
server is determined from the Date: header. texpire determines
the age of an article from the timestamp in the filesystem.
If I now fetch an article that dates back more than 7 days in a
group with groupexpire = 7, it will not be deleted after 7 days
from now.
maxage and groupexpire do not mean the same.
maxage: Never fetch articles older than this
groupexpire: Give me a certain amount of time to read newly
fetched articles.
I agree with Michael that these should not be mixed.
