It seems as though Leafnode is running, but not picking up a list of
newsgroups, i.e. your problem is not with the ISP. You should have a file
called "groupinfo" in /var/spool/news/leaf.node, containing a list of
newsgroups, but if your maximum connection time is 5 seconds, it will
probably be empty. Try adding the line "debugmode=1" to /etc/leafnode/config,
then run leafnode again and look at the logfile somewhere in /var/log/news.
If your "groupinfo" file is full, you need to select newsgroups with your
newsreader AND read the dummy placeholder article for each.
