Outlook created the message itself when replying. It's an annoyance
because you cannot change the layout of the attribution line. It then
fails to parse its own output. Now ask about whose fault it is. :-)

Get rid of Outlook and replace it by software that has less bugs. The
reference should be used from the headers in the first place and not be
put in the body, bloating the attribution line in the second place. Even
Netscape Communicator 4.7x gets this right.

This will probably not quite be the desired answer, but hey, you have
the choice of software.
