I am amenable to being added to a developer list for LeafWA
whereever it is set up.
Here's what I'm doing:

- about to e-mail Phil explaining what is happening and asking
for further approval;
- if I don't hear an objection from him, I'll go ahead and set
up a new SF project for Leafwa;
(NB it's important for me to give Phil a chance to react, since
the SF terms could otherwise lead to problems and the removal of
the project)
- as you may know, a new SF project takes a couple of days for
approval, so in the meantime I hope to make a release of an
alpha tarball from my website.

At the same time, I will say that it doesn't hurt my feelings
to just
pass along work to someone else - though I guarantee that I
will be
more likely to contribute if I can at least CVS update from
the repository.
No problem. I aim to get it into CVS. At the moment I'm working
locally with no source control in place, so I'm tracking my own
changes - can be dangerous :-) Do you have a SF id already?

Also, while I have not actively modified Leafwa in a while,
every week hurts that goes by with local groups management
not updated.
I can see some comments in the existing code about changes that
have been made in Leafnode / will need to be made to Leafwa in
respect of local groups, but I'm not going near that stuff. I
look forward to your assistance!

I will add that I'm quite in-experienced in dealing with
security issues as they relate to scripted stuff.
I'm absolutely sure that Leafwa as it stands in the current
public release is really not good in terms of security. I've
added a "Security Considerations" block to the installation
notes and updated various bits of config. If this is going to be
more widely used, we need to make sure it's much tighter in this
area. That's what "peer review" is for, right?

Either way, I'll look to make the much-discussed leafwa-x.x.x-ap
release in the next couple of days.
