[leafnode-list] Empty group but no placeholder (not truncated this time)

Hi all..

Running the latest 2.0 snapshot, my newsreader (XNews) shows a strange problem.  For a particular group it has "First" and "Last" article numbers, and it shows 34627 and 34627 for both.  When you try and open the group, it reports "420 No articles in specified range".

Now my knowledge of NNTP protocol is not great, but I telnetted in on NNTP port and this what I see:

200 Leafnode NNTP daemon, version 2.0-snapshot-20020910a at pc69.comconnect

listgroup borland.public.delphi.objectpascal
211 No articles in borland.public.delphi.objectpascal

group borland.public.delphi.objectpascal
211 0 34627 34627 borland.public.delphi.objectpascal group selected

I have run texpire but it made no difference.

Any ideas?
