I'm uncertain, there's nothing in the headers that give clue.  I suspect
some Windows software; it's NTL (UK) so does anyone know?

Nothing pertinent.

I'm using fetchnews with -vvv and see such errors on stdout but nothing
seems to be recorded in /var/log/news/news.* crit, err, notice
