Recent leafnode versions allow to configure only_groups_pcre on a
per-server basis. Configuring this restrictions for EACH of the servers
listed will come close to what you want. Run fetchnews -f after changing
the configuration.

ibiblio.org mirrors have leafnode 1.9.30.devel1 already, this version
fixes a serious bug in 1.9.29. 1.9.30 will be released after I fixed the
duplicate newsgroup in different case madness.
