I'm not a fan of Forte, but have you tried XNews?

Aesthetically it may lose out, but for features, reliability, standards compliance and ease of use (once you get used to its style perhaps) IMO it surpasses OE.

Shortly, someone will tell you to use the latest version which I think is 1.9.31 :)
