.. together with an example, yes.  i think the original posters
problem of having to recreate lost postings is just perfect for this.

like:

"Go <number> of articles back and try to re-fetch them.  Used for
troubleshotting, eg. to repair too aggressive filtering."

also, the man page doesn't mention filterfile(5) in the "see also"
section, although this seems essential to fetchnews.
