[leafnode-list] Lock File Problems

I've been running version 1.9.39 and have been seeing a number of lock
file problems lately.  I don't know if it's something with my system or if
the problem is with leafnode.  In any case, the lock file isn't always
being removed properly after leafnode completes.  This is happenning every
couple of days and seems to have only recently started.

I did notice when I go in to manually remove the lock file that it's now
located in the leafnode directory instead of /var/lock/news but I don't
know when that change occurred.
