[leafnode-list] subscribing to new newsgoup doesnt work sometimes

hi there,
I just wonder whether this is a leafnode or tin (tin 1.6.2) issue...

I tried to subscribe t-online.talk.usenet (visible only to T-Online 
customers) for the first time an tin said "no articles" when 
subscribing and it did NOT show the usual leafnode placeholder message 
when subscribing to a new group.

So I had to cd to /var/spool/news/interesting.groups and invoked "touch 
t-online.talk...." to subscribe this group. This happens from time to 
time. What is causing this behaviour? It's not that bad, just a bit 
annoying.
