[leafnode-list] Latest snapshot won't build

It's probably me missing something obvious, but the latest snapshot won't build on my machine (which is mostly Mandrake 7.1).  The last one I built was 20031001a.  I downloaded the two patches and applied one after another to get to the latest source.

configure ran fine, but when I ran make I got the following:

[jcc@pc69 leafnode-2.0.0.alpha20031019a]$ make
cd . && /bin/sh /home/jcc/leafnode-2.0.0.alpha20031009a/missing --run autoconf
/home/jcc/leafnode-2.0.0.alpha20031009a/missing: /home/jcc/leafnode-2.0.0.alpha20031009a/missing: No
 such file or directory
make: *** [configure] Error 127

Can anyone give me a clue? :)
