Because SourceForge run a stripped-down version of an obsolete Mailman
version which they have promised to upgrade for months, however nothing
like this has happened. The old 2.0.9-sf version is inconvenient to use
for the user and the admin. The usability for either side is a lot
better with Mailman 2.1.X versions.

The other thing is that their archiving leaves things to be desired.
Their own archive is incomplete (check the leafnode-announce archives
for the 1.9.46 announcement for instance) and doesn't allow raw format,
which makes the archive pointless for signed emails. Signatures don't
tolerate cut&paste well if you manage to cut without "site sponsor"
banners, depending on browser...
