Hmm, I think I have found the problem. Maybe it have to do something with
the news.mozilla.org NNTP server. Here's the log:

Mar 18 11:31:29 ubuntu fetchnews[6178]: mozilla.support.seamonkey:
considering 1 articles 14942 - 14942, using XOVER
Mar 18 11:31:32 ubuntu fetchnews[6178]: mozilla.support.seamonkey: XOVER: 1
seen, 0 I have, 0 filtered, 1 to get
Mar 18 11:31:32 ubuntu fetchnews[6178]: mozilla.support.seamonkey: will
fetch 1 articles
Mar 18 11:31:33 ubuntu fetchnews[6178]: mozilla.support.seamonkey: 1
articles fetched (to 1051), 0 killed
Mar 18 12:00:01 ubuntu fetchnews[6389]: fetchnews: Not automatically
unsubscribing unread newsgroups.
Mar 18 12:00:01 ubuntu fetchnews[6389]: fetchnews mode: get articles, get
headers, get bodies, post articles
Mar 18 12:00:01 ubuntu fetchnews[6389]: erased stale pid 6178 host
ubuntu.apartmani-cakelic.hr lockfile /var/spool/news/leaf.node/lock.file
Mar 18 12:00:01 ubuntu fetchnews[6389]: found 0 articles in in.coming.
Mar 18 12:00:01 ubuntu fetchnews[6389]: news.individual.net: connecting to
port nntp
Mar 18 12:00:09 ubuntu fetchnews[6389]: trying: address 130.133.1.4
port 119...
Mar 18 12:00:12 ubuntu fetchnews[6389]: connected: address 130.133.1.4
port 119.

Sorry, for the word wrap :-(

I have 2 nntp servers in config file. news.individual.net and
news.mozilla.org. The mozilla nntp server is fetched last in the process.

Have a look at the timestamp (30 min distance). At 11:30 it starting fetch
process, but as you can see it does not finish it. It does not write down
how many articles it has fetched in this process.

There is no line like this in log:
Mar 18 10:00:18 ubuntu fetchnews[5051]: fetchnews: 20 articles and 0 headers
fetched, 0 killed, 0 posted, in 15 seconds

And then at 12:00 it says it has to delete lock.file from the last process.

Is this maybe a problem? I will delete news.mozilla.org nntp server from
config file to see what will happen with news.individual.net.

Oops, it's my old signature. :-)
