[leafnode-list] leafnode-2: fetchnews doesn't get my articles

how come leafnode doesn't fetch my articles?  it doesn't even insert
them into the newsgroup, but it checks if they exist upsteam:

rfc-977 defines status code 223 as:

"223 n <a> article retrieved - request text separately"

but fetchnews doesn't get that article.  this is wise in that the
article should exist locally and could be inserted right away, but this
doesn't happen either:  i checked the most recent entries on some gmane
and a sci newsgroup, they aren't there!
