Installed, did tiny adjustments to config, run "texpire -r" as user "news". I see that the messages store is at /var/spool/news
I noticed that under /etc/xinet.d/ there is no new leafnode file, so I am under the assumption that it is not needed, as I see leafnode.socket with systemd. I disable the previous /etc/xinet.d/leafnode file.

However, thunderbird gets a connection refused when attempting to read the news, so something is wrong.
IPv6 only, perhaps? Because of this:

Thunderbird config I have not changed, it tries to access 127.0.0.1 (localhost) at 119.
