Their blurb:

Troll is a web-based news (NNTP) client, capable of reading any newsgroup
on public servers. Troll version 0.0.2, a snapshot release, was just made
available on the ftp site; you can get it from ftp.horde.org or any one of
our FTP mirrors. It supports subscribing to folders, tracking read messages,
and posting to newsgroups.

Future planned developments include better Horde integration and MIME
support, support for authenticating to a newsgroup, more preferences, and
lots more. You can discuss and find support for Troll on the
troll@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx mailing list.

I haven't tried it.
