[leafnode-list] strange errors ...

Hi,
	I receive some errors from Leafnode:

1. ...a message in the /var/log/warn file
Jun 28 13:29:55 hornet leafnode[10311]: Groupinfo file possibly
truncated or damaged: ## 0 1 0 rec.horses^IA discussion group for horse
lovers.

this also causes this duplicate message when I try to download news?
(int /var/log/messages)

How can I solve this?


2. fetch and texpire does't work in conjuction with my crontab

here is my cron tab 

bash-2.02# crontab -u news -l

0 3 * * * /usr/sbin/texpire
0 5 * * * /usr/sbin/fetch   

then I receive this email from my cron daemon:

(the same for texpire and fetch)
Reading configuration failed, exiting (see syslog for more information).

in the syslog file (/var/log/warn )
Jun 24 15:04:45 hornet fetch[354]: unable to open lockfile: 2 No such
file or directory
Jun 25 03:00:00 hornet texpire[1660]: unable to open lockfile: 2 No such
file or directory   

what it means?
